Remote Support Terms and Conditions
All remote support sessions must be pre-scheduled. Support outside of business hours is only available to service contract customers. You will be directed to a link to download the remote support application. This is a small file that will connect your computer to our remote support system.
Your browser may alert you to risks involved with downloading files. While you should generally be careful opening executable files (.exe files), we guarentee the safety of our software. Please ask if you have any difficulties opening the Remote Support application. Support time does not begin until the remote connection is established, unless your computer has a pre-existing network connection issue or telephone support has been provided prior to the remote connection.
Privacy notes: Please note that the COMPCALL support technician will be able to see and control your computer during this session. This includes access to documents and files. However, you will be able to see everything being done by the remote technician. You may disconnect the session at any time. The connection is established FROM your computer. There is no risk of other people being able to access your computer during the remote session or at any other time due to use of this application. Once the application is closed, your computer will not re-initiate a connection to COMPCALL unless you download (or re-open) the Remote Support software again, or have given permission for Unattended Support.
